Emerald Ice was born with music in her
heart. Her grandfather was a guitarist and her father was a classic
pianist / composer. Her father graduated from the Conservatory of
Chicago. Her mother exposed her to Elvis Presley from birth and used to
take her and her late sister shopping for one record a week when her
father gave her shopping money for food. This was their little secret
every friday afternoon when they'd make the excursion on the bus to 149
St. wondering what new tape her mom would buy. She was raised in
parochial grammar and high school that exposed her to choir and she
always was on tv / choir contests, and she always won. She loved to
sing and compose and act and her music has a emotion she wants the
audience to feel. She loves people and she wants people to remember to
respect everyone .
Emerald Ice studied acting in college and took classes at Weist Barron
Acting school; private lessons with the well established golden Star"
Gloria De Haven". She went to Barbazon School of Modeling in New York
and studied vocals under various great mentors including Ann John
Ruckert. Her mentor for recording was Leo Saks from Sony who chose her
from the NARAS 2000 Mentors program. Leo Saks told her she was already
a star. She'll never forget the day she entered that Sony studio and
saw Leo and Michael (Grammy award winners engineers who remixed Baby
Face). She won air time on New Jersey radio stations and a live concert
in Wildwood, New Jersey. She also showcased at the Statue of Liberty,
the Le Bar Bat, Supper Club, and on various talent cable shows.
Emerald Ice hosted her own internet entertainment show every Saturday
and Sunday at ragnarock.com in Astoria Studios on Broadway. As an
actress she has worked on various sets, movies, and commercials.
